Around 1991, at the age of Xxi, Roselyn moved to New York City, where she took classes within dancing, acting & singing. She returned to Puerto Rico & around 1992, she made her picture show debut, with landed the little section as an island girl in the motion picture "Captain Ron", which was partly filmed on the island, starring Martin Short and Kurt Russell.

Around 1993, Roselyn won the Miss Puerto Rico Petite contest and around 1994 she won the international title of Miss America Petite. Around Puerto Rico, she gained public attention as a dancer and co-persons of the island's #1 variety, at that period, "Que Vacilon".
